Note on the Using Extension SDKs for Windows 8 Applications
Accessing the library from a project you create for Windows 8 applications in Visual Studio 2012 is really straight-forward. Casablanca is installed as an "Extension SDK," which means that selecting a single checkbox is all it takes to have the libraries
and header files you need found and referenced by the compiler and linker.
Here's what you do:
Go to the project properties page and select the 'Common Properties':
If you don't see Casablanca listed under 'References,' click the 'Add New Reference' button and find the Windows | Extensions page. Select the Casablanca Extension SDK highlighted below and click 'OK.'
That's it! The samples already have this reference set up, so this only applies when you create your own, new, projects.
