Request to an external server from a particular IP address

My system has 5 IP addresses and I want to make an HTTP request to a web-server from a particular IP. Is it possible to bind an HTTP request to a given address? (Windows and Linux).

Hi Serg,

Sorry about the delayed response. CodePlex has been down for quite a while so I couldn't respond.

We don't have anything exposed in the library to do this. For Windows desktop we build on top of WinHttp and quickly searching I couldn't find out if there even is an actual way to control this. For non Windows platforms Boost.Asio is being used. Doing some quick search it looks like it might be possible, take a look here. However this will require you to make changes to the source code and recompile the C++ REST SDK library.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your answer. It seems that in Windows this is only possible through WebSocket. I understand that multi interface is rarely used on clients, but local endpoint binding control would not be superfluous.

Thanks for your time.
