C++ REST SDK for RHEL

Apr 3, 2014 at 12:52 PM
Hi Guys,

I have a requirement to develop C++ REST webserver in RHEL. After some initial search i found that C++ REST SDK can be used to integrate with C++ application.

The project description mentioned that C++ REST SDK is supported in CentOs.

Is C++ REST SDK supports RHEL? Has anyone tried compiling and testing of C++ REST SDK in RHEL?

Looking for your response.

Thanks,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Our current supported Linux targets are 32-bit and 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. We do not currently support CentOS or RHEL.

However, given the appropriate dependencies it is quite likely that Casablanca will work on any Linux platform -- we just haven't specifically tested the platform you are interested in.

Take a look at our Linux instructions; if you can install our dependencies (boost, openssl, cmake, gcc-4.8, and git) for your platform, you should be able to build Casablanca.

If you're successful, please come back and post your results! Many other users would also be interested in how to use Casablanca on CentOS or Red Hat.

Thanks,
