Compiling on OSX 10.9

After cloning the git repository (under my home folder), I did:

make all

which went well with no errors. However when I try to compile the samples, I get the following error:
make samples
Compiling pplx/apple/pplxapple.cpp -> pplx/apple/pplxapple..o
Building library /
ld: can't open output file for writing '/', errno=13 for architecture x86_64
clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
make[1]: *** [/] Error 1
make: *** [src] Error 2
(Is build script really trying to save the library onto the root folder?!)

I tried a suggestion provided by people encountering the same linker error:
export ARCHFLAGS='-arch i386 -arch x86_64'
make samples
but that didn't help either!

(I am using the latest version of clang provided with Xcode:
$ clang --version
Apple LLVM version 5.0 (clang-500.2.79) (based on LLVM 3.3svn)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin13.0.0
Thread model: posix

Any hint/input is appreciated.

Hi listboss,

On Linux and OS X Casablanca only supports build at the root level, which should also include the samples. If the root-level build doesn't produce samples for you, let us know and we'll look into it.

Just so you know, OS X is not "officially" supported yet, we're still working on it.
